DM – Double Mandrel:
A Gentle Paper Handling Tool for Lifting Rolls (and Reels)
The double mandrel (DM) is perfect for picking up cylindrical loads, such as rolls (e.g. for paper handling) and reels. The round geometry of the two mandrels prevents the surface of the load from being damaged.
In the case of rolls or reels, lifting with the double mandrel leaves the core free, such that it can be inserted onto a machine mandrel after lifting.
Like most of our lifting tools, the dimensions of the DM can easily be modified to fit customer needs.
The double mandrel tool attachment is also available in hygienic design for use in clean rooms or the food/beverage industry.
