Precision Electric Tipping for Safer Drum and Roll Handling
The Electric Tipping Unit (ETU) is a fully electric solution for controlled and precise tipping of loads secured by an attached lifting tool. It is designed for use with a Manual Linear Clamp (MLC) or an Electric Linear Clamp (ELC, or other compatible lifting tools for handling drums, barrels, rolls, and similar cylindrical loads.
Operation is performed entirely via remote control, allowing the operator to control load tipping safely and accurately from a distance. This makes the ETU particularly suitable for applications where there is limited space around the lifting area, or where it is not possible for the operator to stand next to the equipment during operation.
The ETU is also ideal for very heavy loads, reducing operator strain while ensuring stable, controlled and repeatable rotation.
At the core of the system is an electric motor-driven, self-locking worm gear mechanism that enables smooth and controlled tipping of the load. The self-locking function ensures that the load remains securely in position when movement is stopped, providing stable handling throughout the entire operation.
Key characteristics:
- Electric worm gear system with motor-driven operation
- Maximum tipping speed: 1.5 RPM
- Maximum tipping torque: 450 Nm (software/controls limited per application)
- Self-locking gear system for safety and stable load positioning
- Stable load retention when rotation is stopped
- Remote controlled
- Compatible with lifting tool configurations such as clamps (Manual Linear Clamp (MLC) and Electric Linear Clamp (ELC))
- Supports tipping around the load's center of mass where possible
