Geared Manual Rotation (MRU)
Precise Load Rotation with the Manual Rotation Unit – Controlled Handling at Every Turn
The Manual Rotation Unit (MRU) is designed for controlled rotation of loads lifted via an attached lifting tool mounted directly to the unit. The unit is typically used to turn loads such as rolls, drums, barrels, and boxes sideways during handling operations. Rotation is achieved manually by the operator through a side-mounted handle, which drives the system mechanically.
Internally, a self-locking worm gear transfers the applied manual force to the main axle, ensuring smooth and controlled rotation while maintaining the load securely in position when movement stops.
The outer main axle is fitted with a flange interface for mounting the lifting tool. This configuration allows flexible integration with different lifting setups while maintaining stable and reliable load handling throughout operation.
Key characteristics:
- Manual handle-operated rotation for direct operator control
- Self-locking worm gear system for secure load holding
- Large gear ratio for manipulation of heavy off-centre loads.
- Flange interface for flexible attachment of lifting tools
- Designed for handling of boxes, rolls, drums og barrels
- Compatible with various lifting tool configurations such as clamps (Electric Clamp (EC), Manual Clamp (MC), Manual Clamp with Spindle (MCS), Electric Linear Clamp (ELC), Manual Linear Clamp (MLC), forks (Fork (F), Adjustable Fork (AF) and expanders (Electric Expander Unit (EEU) and Manual Expander Unit (MEU)
