The Electric Linear Clamp with Electric Rotation Unit (ELC-ERU) is engineered for safe and efficient handling of cylindrical loads such as drums, barrels, and rolls.

It features a fully electric system where both lifting, clamping, and rotation are powered and controlled via remote control, enabling smooth, precise, and effortless load handling without the need for manual operation.

This makes the solution particularly suitable for very heavy loads or applications with limited space, where the operator cannot safely stand next to the unit. By removing the need for manual operation, the system reduces physical strain and improves both safety and operational efficiency.

System Configuration - Two Integrated Units

The ELC-ERU consists of two components operating in tandem:

• Electric Linear Clamp (ELC)
  
• Electric Rotation Unit (ERU)

Electric Linear Clamp (ELC)

The Electric Linear Clamp (ELC) delivers precise, powered clamping for cylindrical loads such as drums, barrels, and rolls. Its modular design supports various lifting arms and grippers, and it can be combined with tipping or rotation units.

Driven by an electric motor with a self-locking worm gear, the ELC ensures smooth carriage movement and consistent clamping force. An electronic overload sensor stops operation automatically if the maximum force is reached, while a remote control allows safe operation from a distance. The system maintains a firm, reliable grip throughout lifting, reducing operator effort and enhancing load stability.

Electric Rotation Unit (ERU)

The Electric Rotation Unit (ERU) is mounted on the minilifter and is designed to provide sideways rotation of loads such as boxes, rolls, drums, and barrels via an attached lifting tool. The lifting tool is screwed directly onto the flange interface of the main axle, ensuring compatibility with various lifting tool configurations. 

Rotation is driven by an electric motor through a self-locking worm gear, which drives the main axle. The self-locking gear system ensures that the load remains securely in position when rotation is stopped, making the ERU suitable for handling heavy and off-center loads.

An integrated encoder continuously monitors the rotational position of the ERU. As a result, the electric lifter automatically stops in the central position (when the load is vertical) and can optionally stop at multiple pre-programmed positions in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, typically set to 90° or 180°.

The ERU is operated via remote control and provides precise and repeatable positioning during operation.
