The Electric Linear Clamp with Manual Rotation Unit (ELC-MRU) is engineered for seamless and safe handling of cylindrical loads such as drums, barrels, and rolls.

It features an electrically powered linear clamping system that ensures precise and secure gripping, paired with a manually operated rotation unit that allows operators to rotate loads smoothly and with full control.

By combining electric clamping with manual rotation, this solution minimizes physical strain during lifting while giving operators direct, tactile control over rotation. It is ideal for demanding industrial applications where stability, efficiency, and reliable load handling are critical.

System Configuration - Two Integrated Units

The ELC-MRU consists of two components operating in tandem:

• Electric Linear Clamp (ELC)
  
• Manual Rotation Unit (MRU)

Electric Linear Clamp (ELC)

The Electric Linear Clamp (ELC) delivers precise, powered clamping for cylindrical loads such as drums, barrels, and rolls. Its modular design supports various lifting arms and grippers, and it can be combined with tipping or rotation units.

Driven by an electric motor with a self-locking worm gear, the ELC ensures smooth carriage movement and consistent clamping force. An electronic overload sensor stops operation automatically if the maximum force is reached, while a remote control allows safe operation from a distance. The system maintains a firm, reliable grip throughout lifting, reducing operator effort and enhancing load stability.

Manual Rotation Unit (MRU)

The Manual Rotation Unit (MRU) is designed for controlled rotation of loads lifted via an attached lifting tool mounted directly to the unit. Rotation is achieved manually by the operator through a side-mounted handle, which drives the system mechanically.

Internally, a self-locking worm gear transfers the applied manual force to the main axle, ensuring smooth and controlled rotation while maintaining the load securely in position when movement stops.

The outer main axle is fitted with a flange interface for mounting the lifting tool. This configuration allows flexible integration with different lifting setups while maintaining stable and reliable load handling throughout operation.
