Roll Lifting Device for Manipulating Rolls from the Core

The electric expander unit (EEU) lifts rolls from the core from a vertical position. This roll lifting device can also turn rolls when combined with a rotation tool.

The EEU roll lifting device is ideally suited to lift rolls with the core orientated vertically. An electrically powered gripper expands within the core of the roll and holds this firmly in place allowing subsequent lifting and manipulating.

The standard gripper is designed for ø76 mm (3″) core sized but by exchanging the tooth plate on the gripper other sizes can also be gripped.

If the EEU is combined with an electric rotation unit (ERU) it becomes easy to manipulate the roll into other positions than with the core vertical.

Other Electrical Manipulators

The electric tipping unit (ETU) is able to tip heavy loads forward in a controlled manner. This tipping tool is typically combined with a linear clamp and mounted on drum lifting equipment or roll lifters. From behind, picture 1.
